Promotion of development, availability and application of robotics techniques in technical inspections and maintenance of capital intensive infrastructure.

THE SPRINT ROBOTICS COLLABORATIVE is a new industry driven initiative that promotes the development, the availability, and application of robotics techniques in technical inspections and maintenance of capital intensive infrastructure. The use of Robotics can improve the quality and safety of the maintenance, inspection and cleaning.

We invite Asset owners and operators, technology developers and suppliers, service providers and other parties interested in this field to become a participant in the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative, so that we can fast track the market readiness of robotic solutions for inspection and maintenance.

ACTIVITIES OF SPRINT

  • Bringing the whole value chain, consisting of a.o. the end users, service providers and technology providers, together
  • Compiling, expanding and disseminating robotic industry knowledge
  • Compiling and maintaining a strategic roadmap
  • Maintaining a network of all interested companies and institutions
  • Initiating joint industry projects aimed at R&D and market innovation
  • Fundraising
  • Conducting all other activities that are related or might be of benefit to achieve the above mentioned purpose in the broadest possible terms.

The SPRINT Robotics Action Groups are focused, topic-specific groups committed to accelerating the deployment of robotics technologies for inspection and maintenance within different application areas. The SPRINT Robotics Action Groups defined are four areas that have the highest priority for improvement within the inspection and maintenance domain, as defined by the SPRINT Program Committee and reflected in the SPRINT Robotics Roadmap: Storage tanks, Pressure vessels, Remote operation, and Process piping.
