Season’s Greetings from SPRINT Robotics

2019 was a great year for SPRINT Robotics!
SPRINT Robotics continues to grow at a rapid pace, not only in Participant numbers, but also with the expansion to other industry sectors. The number of roadshows grew to five this year and we increased our reach to new regions, with a roadshow in Southeast Asia culminating in a Technology Demonstration Day in Singapore, and a combined roadshow and seminar in Perth.
A new version of the SPRINT Robotics Roadmap was released this past fall, as well as the first-ever “Guidelines for the Application of Robotics for In-service Inspection of Aboveground Storage Tanks”, which aim to facilitate an accelerated yet responsible adoption of in-service robotic inspection for storage tanks.

The 2019 edition of the World Conference for Inspection and Maintenance Robotics successfully brought together delegates and exhibitors from around the globe.
The two-day conference program covered a broad scope of asset and industry sectors, and included a prominent line-up of keynote speakers from leading companies as well as 48 speaker presentations from notable industry specialists. The exhibition featured more than 50 global service and technology providers, poster sessions, and demo sessions on the exhibition floor.
During the conference banquet, the winners of the SPRINT Robotics Awards 2019 were announced, acknowledging and rewarding exceptional work in inspection and maintenance robotics in our society.

The roadshow started with two events in Malaysia, followed by a full week of showcasing in Singapore. The final roadshow stop was at ASPRI Integrated Training Centre (AITC) in Singapore, with a full day of live robotic demonstrations from leading technology and service providers on relevant assets part of the training facility.

The Southeast Asia roadshow is an important marker for the region, looking forward to the 2020 edition of the SPRINT Robotics World Conference for Inspection and Maintenance Robotics which will take place in Singapore next November.
