At SPRINT Robotics we are monitoring and adjusting as the Covid-19 situation develops. We realize that many of you will be affected in the short term either directly due to measures to contain the virus or due to people you have been in touch with being infected. Our thoughts are with you and we encourage you to reach out to us if you feel we can help in any way.

All our operations in support of the SPRINT organization are normal, even though all of our support staff is working from home for their own and public safety, as well as compliance with advisories of local authorities.

We are planning ahead to identify items of the 2020 program which may be affected and are preparing contingency plans for those events and projects that may have to be delayed as a result.
The current situation provides also important opportunities to accelerate new developments and trends. We will add more webinars and other virtual events to leverage on digital means to compensate for the travel restrictions. Additionally, we are exploring new ways for our community to connect online.

The current virus outbreak is a reminder that robotics may play a vital role in ensuring continued safety and operations of facilities while keeping people safe. We are working hard to minimize the negative impact of the current global emergency on our services to the SPRINT Robotics community and leverage on the opportunities that the situation may present to accelerate realization of the SPRINT Robotics Vision: Achieving field use of robotics for inspection and maintenance of capital-intensive infrastructure assets on a large scale to address immediate needs and long term industry priorities.

Please stay safe and act responsibly.

Kind regards,
Tjibbe Bouma
Chairman, SPRINT Robotics
