The Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) and the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will promote the use of robotics for inspection and maintenance in the water sector. Both organizations expressed their intent to partner, establishing a mutually beneficial partnership that will accelerate the global smart water sector.
SPRINT Robotics will implement this MoU as part of a drive to leverage cross-sectoral initiatives of robotic development and deployment between the oil, gas, energy and water sector. Partnering with the SWAN Forum provides exciting prospects to create synergies between sectors, share knowledge and best practices, as well as connecting leading experts in the respective industries.

The Smart Water Networks Forum (SWAN) is a non-profit industry forum promoting the use of data technologies in water and wastewater networks, making them smarter, more efficient and sustainable. By fostering cross-industry collaboration, SWAN shares its members’ diverse, global expertise, develops its own research, influences smart water policies, and helps shape industry standards.

The SPRINT Robotics Collaborative is a global, not-for-profit, industry-driven foundation that promotes the development, availability, application and commercialization of robotics techniques in technical inspections and maintenance of capital intensive infrastructure. The use of robotic solutions can improve the quality and safety of maintenance, inspection and cleaning activities.
